CDNGLD.ca exists to bring clarity to a precious metals market that can be hard to read, and sometimes unfair, for retail investors who buy and sell in it. We compare dealers openly so you can see what each one charges and pays. Our aim is to help retail investors keep more of their money and get a fairer price every time they trade. We serve everyday investors who are looking for that fair price.
How we work
CDNGLD.ca is an independent directory of businesses and websites that buy and sell gold and silver in Canada, organized by province and territory. We check each dealer against its own website and show a rating only when we can name the third-party page it came from. Listings are not endorsements, and nothing here is investment advice. No dealer has paid to be listed. Please read our terms, disclaimers and privacy notice.
How we list dealers
- Coverage. Each province and territory has its own page. Larger provinces list dealers city by city. Smaller ones cover their main centres, and where we could not verify a local dealer the page says so. Online and national dealers that ship across Canada are on their own Online page, at the top of the Provinces menu.
- Verification. Dealers were checked against their own websites where the site could be read. Where a site blocked automated reading, the listing says so and names the source we used instead, such as BBB or the Royal Canadian Mint's dealer list.
- Fees. We only show fees a dealer states publicly. "Not published" means the dealer posts no figure, so ask for a written quote on both the buy price and the sell price before you commit.
- Ratings. We show a rating only when we read it on a third-party review page with a meaningful number of reviews, and the source is named on the listing. Dealers without one have no rating we could confirm. BBB letter grades are not customer ratings.
- Editorial notes. Short, factual points to check before you visit or order. They are not accusations and not recommendations.
